Friday’s Core Corner

Ahh, the much anticipated ‘Core Corner.’ Each Friday, I’ll be highlighting 2-3 non traditional ab exercises for all the ab junkies out there.

When I say non traditional… These exercises will not include sit ups, no crunches, and we already do plenty of planks. Rather these exercises will highlight movements that are atypical to most in regard to core training, unilateral loading, and utilizing additional muscle groups to also work other areas of the body.

This Friday, the 4th, is also Go Red for Women. A national awareness campaign for heart disease and women. Wear RED today in support of this cause. Heart disease is still the #1 killer of women in the United States, meaning that 1 in 3 women will suffer from heart disease.
