I’m not an athlete, can I still train at Urban Athlete?
Of course! Our fitness and performance programs are beneficial to everyone. In addition to professional Rugby players, mixed martial artist, Boxers and Hockey players we also train weekend warriors, busy professionals and moms. You do not need to be an athlete or even be in shape to start training at Urban Athlete. But you will need to train hard and smart. We’ll take care of both for you.
How do your training sessions work?
We do most of our coaching in a group setting. We’ve found that a group setting is the most beneficial training environment for everyone involved. Each class is roughly 45 minutes and most athletes perform the same workout. We will modify or choose an alternative exercise for individuals in certain situations.
How is Urban Athlete different than a commercial gym?
Where commercial gyms bank on you signing up and never coming in to train again, we actually look forward to seeing you come through our doors on a daily basis. We know all of our members, clients and athletes by their first name. It’s also a place where an incredibly diverse group of people come together and feel a great sense of camaraderie.
We provide all of your programming and coaching and design each workout with the only one goal in mind…making you stronger, leaner and more fit than the day before.
I’m out of shape, can I still train at Urban Athlete?
Yep, we modify and adjust each workout or exercise according to the individual. If there are 12 people in one of our classes, there are 12 different levels of fitness and abilities. We adjust the weight, the number of repetitions and the number of rounds to accommodate different fitness levels. Classes will still be challenging and comprehensive…just modified.
I’ve never lifted weights. Can I still train at Urban Athlete?
Yep. We coach you! We teach you technique and make sure your form is perfect so you can get the most out of each class and quickly see results.
I’m injured. Can I still train at Urban Athlete?
Yep. We have worked with and coached people with busted knees, shoulders hips and ankles. We simply work around your injured bodypart. Injuries are not a reason to skip training.

Our entrance is in the rear, behind Martin Elfant Real Estate, just drive up the drive way and see our big sign.
